Oura Ring 5 Launches Globally With Smaller Design, Up to 9-Day Battery Life and New Health

Oura has officially introduced the Oura Ring 5, its latest smart ring, with a smaller titanium design, longer stated battery life, and a new set of health-focused software features.

The new wearable is available globally for pre-order and will begin shipping on June 4, 2026. Pricing starts at $399 for the Silver and Black finishes, while premium finishes are priced at $499.

Oura says the Ring 5 is 40 percent smaller than the Oura Ring 4, making it thinner and lighter while retaining its focus on sleep, activity, recovery, and general wellness tracking.

Oura Ring 5 Key Features

The fifth-generation smart ring brings several hardware upgrades over its predecessor:

Design: 40 percent smaller than the Oura Ring 4.
Dimensions: 6.09mm wide and 2.28mm thick.
Build: Scratch-resistant titanium construction.
Colours: Silver, Black, Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver, and the new Deep Rose finish.
Water Resistance: Rated for water resistance up to 100 metres with IP68 protection.
Battery Life: Between six and nine days on a single charge, according to Oura.
Charging Accessory: Optional Oura Ring 5 Charging Case can extend total usage time to up to one month.
Phone Compatibility: Supports both iPhone and Android smartphones through the Oura app.

Oura says it has redesigned the Ring 5 sensing architecture with lower-profile sensor domes and 12 signal pathways intended to improve skin contact and deliver more consistent readings across different users.

New Software Features Announced With Oura Ring 5

Alongside the new hardware, Oura has announced several software additions for supported Oura members.

New and upcoming features include:

Live Activity Tracking: Real-time workout and heart-rate information during supported activities.
Locate: A feature intended to help users find a misplaced ring or charging case through the Oura app.
Health Radar: A new wellness feature designed to monitor patterns, including nighttime breathing and blood-pressure-related signals.
GLP-1 Insights: Tools for eligible members to track medication-related information and associated wellness trends.
Health Records and AI-Enabled Care: Features being introduced in partnership with Counsel Health for eligible users in supported regions.
Lab Uploads: The ability to add certain lab information to the Oura platform, scheduled to begin rolling out globally in English on June 30.

Availability will vary by market and language. Some health features will initially be limited to users in selected countries, including the United States, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
