Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 Beta to More Galaxy Phones and Tablets

Samsung is expanding the One UI 8.5 beta program to more Galaxy devices, giving more users early access to its next major software update before the stable rollout.

The latest expansion brings One UI 8.5 beta support to older flagship phones, foldables, Fan Edition models, and, for the first time in this beta cycle, a Galaxy A-series device.

New Devices Joining the One UI 8.5 Beta

Samsung says the beta program is now rolling out to:

• Galaxy S23 series
• Galaxy Z Fold5
• Galaxy Z Flip5
• Galaxy S23 FE
• Galaxy A36 5G

The beta will be available in selected markets, including India, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Availability will still depend on the device and region.

Earlier One UI 8.5 Beta Devices

Samsung previously expanded the beta to several newer Galaxy devices, including:

• Galaxy S24 series
• Galaxy Z Fold6
• Galaxy Z Flip6
• Galaxy S25 FE
• Galaxy S24 FE
• Galaxy Tab S11 series

This means One UI 8.5 testing is now reaching a wider mix of Galaxy phones and tablets across different price categories.

New Quick Share and AirDrop Support

One of the most interesting additions in One UI 8.5 beta is improved Quick Share support with AirDrop.

Samsung says this feature allows more seamless cross-platform file sharing on selected devices. Supported models include the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6.

However, Samsung notes that availability and timing may vary by market and device.

Eligible users can register for the One UI 8.5 beta through the Samsung Members app when the program becomes available in their region.
